It's time for another challenge at Feeling Sketchy :-)

Here it the sketch for this challenge:
Here is the card that I made:

I used various papers from Close To My Heart...the Sparkle & Shine paper pack.
I used bakers twine for the tops of the ornaments...stamped on Merry Christmas and attached it with a 3D foam dot.

There will not be a sponsor or a major prize give away this month, instead the winner (chosen at random) will be offered a guest designer spot with our Design Team girls for February next year.
The winner will be announced early January and you will be advised of the sketch's for February then also, so you will have plenty of time to prepare you project's.

Thank You card using Vellum

Made this thank you card by embossing this "Thank You" on to Vellum...and then coloring it in with a green watercolor pencil.  I then added stick on butterflies around all the edges.
This is the first time I have ever embossed on vellum.
I need a lot of practice :(   But it was a fun challenge for me.

(no stamps)

Merry Christmas

Made this Merry Christmas card using this adorable image from Lacy Sunshine Stamps called Emily Winter Wonderland.    I really wanted to use the super cute Eleanor Holiday Shopping which is the current "Challenge Digi" - but, when I went to print it out my printer had other plans :(   It made a really strange noise and that was it....printer was no longer working.
So - until we get a new printer (we are in the process of comparing printers, prices and what the cost of refill inks will be) I am without a printer.
I had printed this Emily Winter Wonderland out quite a long time ago and had colored her in with Promarkers.   But I had never put it to use on a card.   Until now........
I used a 5x7 white card and embossed it with a snowflake pattern.  I attached my image with 3D foam dots to add a little pop to her.   I stamped on Merry Christmas in red ink onto a white cardstock and then sponged red ink around the edges, also attaching this with 3D foam dots.
I added a couple of small stick on felted Holly Flowers, a couple of little heart hearts along with a white ribbon with a red heart on it.   I also added a little red heart to her hand mitt.

I am entering this into the Lacy Sunshine Challenge #22 - Anything Goes

Every good and perfect gift

I found this beautiful, peaceful scenery stamp at Goodwill.
It is a Stampendous stamp.
I sponged on a blue background...and colored it all in with Promarkers, using colors blue, green & brown.
I stamped on the Scripture, which is a SU stamp...in brown.

I am entering this into the Twist Of  Faith Challenge #65 - 3 Color Combo
(use 3 colors, which I did - blue, green & brown)

Feeling Sketchy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Feeling Sketchy Design Team Christmas blog hop!

If you are starting here then you might want to start back at Feeling Sketchy .
I'm so excited to share my projects.

For my first project I made a card using our current sketch at Feeling Sketchy (sketch #73)
I used a light green cardstock that I embossed with a snowflake pattern.
I then stamped on Christmas Trees and Stars using a stamp set from Close To My Heart.
I added sparkles around the stars and the trees.
I distressed the edges and sponged on red ink...and I also sponged the red ink around the edges of the base of the card.
I cut out Merry Christmas using my Cricut machine....added more star sparkles around the main tree image.  Then added a green bow up the right edge of my image.

For my next two projects I made a gift card holder and a little gift box.
We have friends that live about 75 miles away from us and every year we always include a gift card to each other...either for a place to eat, or for Caribou Coffee.
I used Christmas cardstock, added a snowman sticker on it, and then stamped on Merry Christmas, then I added a white border around it.

For my little gift box...I cut it out using my Cricut machine again.
I used Christmas cardstock, added a name card to it using the same cardstock, then I used some twirly ribbon to cover up the gifts in the box (earrings and a necklace.)

For my last project (it does not look like Christmas - but it is something we do every year and go through it on Christmas Day.)
Every year on New Year's Day we start this...
then the following Christmas Day we open it and go through it.
I used a 12x12 heavy cardstock for my base.
Then used another 12x12 cardstock folded in half to form the bottom "pocket".
I glued the edges really good to the main base...added the year on top, then on the bottom added "notes, memories & on this day.   I also added a strip to the top of the bottom pocket.
Every New Year's Eve before we go to bed, I fold the top of this over and tie it up and stick it in the drawer.
Then on Christmas Day the following year we take it out and "re-live" the previous year.
On New Year's morning we start again for the year.
During the year we use this to add events that happen, notes to each other, special occasions & even sad occasions.
I keep this on a table in our dinning room along with a box of note paper and a pen...and we add things to it all year long.

The fun doesn't stop here, the next blog to hop to is Margaret's.

When all is done, be sure and check back with Feeling Sketchy at

Thank You Sew Much

I stumbled upon a new blog for Cricut - called Exploring Cricut.
I was so happy to find this challenge blog!
I love my Cricut and love using it :-)

The challenge there is to use 1 patterned paper, 2 cricut cuts & 3 different colors.
I used the Cricut Everyday Pop Up Cards Cartridge.
I used CTMH patterned paper called Chantilly.  I cut out the Sewing Machine and the Thank You Sew Much (which was altogether so it was one cut.)
I cut it in a teal cardstock...and since it was one cut - I colored the "You" & "Sew" in with white ink.
The sewing machine is a tan cardstock.
I used the white ink to make it look like thread and then added some little pieces of the patterned paper to highlight the sewing machine more.

Thanks A Bunch

Made this "Thanks A Bunch" card using CTMH Babycakes Paper Packet...and CTMH stamp sets A Flowering Bunch and Remarkable Wreath.  I stamped the wreath with CTMH Chocolate Exclusive Inkpad and then stamped the designs on the wreath with CTMH Autumn Terracotta Exclusive Inkpad...as with the Thanks A Bunch.
I then made a gray bow using the ribbon from the CTMH For Always Cardmaking Kit.

Keep Calm & Craft

The Stamping Chef is celebrating their 1 year anniversary!
And as part of the celebration they are holding a big "party"

For the image (which they provided) I colored it in with Promarkers and then cut it out and attached it to the base of my card with 3D dots to give it a little pop. The background is a picture of a lap quilt that I made years ago.
I added trim around the edges to give it more of a quilt look.

Am entering it into the Happy Birthday TSC!!
