Bible Stories From The Heart

In January I started doing a series of Bible Studies online from
Bible Stories From The Heart
Leslie Eaton offers several online Bible Study workbooks.  Most workbook studies have five lessons in them, but some have four lessons and some have six lessons.   You can purchase the workbooks on Amazon.   Each lesson has a coloring page with it.
She also offers a Facebook group page that is very helpful.

Into The Light & A Pastel Portrait

I took a couple of  Ivy Newport classes.
The first one is a free video class that she offers called 'Into The Light'.  It's a mixed media and Encaustic Wax class.  I really enjoyed doing this class, and I learned a lot in it.
Here is the project I made:
The wings are handmade using a thin wire and tissue paper, then sealed with the encaustic wax....and there are two coats of the encaustic wax on the board.

The second class I took is a paid class.  It's from her Ala Carte lessons.  It's called 'A Pastel Portrait'
It's the first time I used pastels, and it was enjoyable to work with.
Here is the project I made:

Ivy is an excellent teacher, very helpful and she really explains each step along the way.
I will probably be taking more of her classes :)

November's Challenge At Scrapping Everyday Miracles

It's time for our November challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles!

 Scripture Focus for this month:
   Psalm 136:1
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.  His love endures forever.

This month I did the Scripture Inspiration:
I did a journaling page in my Bible.  I used several colors of paint on the background.  The women giving thanks to the Lord was done with a stencil.  The 'Continually' and the Cross and Dove are stamps.   I wanted the Verse to stand out more on my page, so I printed it out in a larger print, distressed the edges and glued it onto the page.

October Challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles

It's time for our October challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles!

 Scripture Focus for this month:
I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.
JOHN 14:27

This month I made a card for the Card Challenge:
I used brown cardstock for my background, then added this print cardstock on top of that.
I stamped on the bird, the flowers, the borders and the Hello.

August Challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles

It's time for our August challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles!

Scripture Focus for this month -
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.     Jude 1:20,21

This month I made for our Scripture Inspiration:
I did a Bible journaling page using acrylic paints, some stamps and a stencil.
I tried to do that white crayon resist technique, but it didn't turn out very well...I ended up tearing my page.  So I printed out the verse on white paper and glued it onto my page.
